Description
Buckle up, get ready, you are about to experience the BEST shave of your life!
We use a pre-shave scrub to prepare the skin and hair for shaving. Then, we slather foamy shaving cream and shave the hair. After shaving, we close the pores and tone up the skin with our after shave tonic. And finally, we need to put some moisture back in after toning, so we use an after shave oil to soften and smooth skin that might be irritated by razors.
This set includes:
* 4oz Pre-Shave Scrub (smells like lemon)
* 4oz Shaving Cream
* 2oz After Shave Tonic (smells like peppermint and cools skin)
* 2oz After Shave Oil (calming lavender)
* Cosmetic Disks (for Shave Tonic)
* Cotton Carrying Case
**My shaving cream will no longer be available in a pump bottle. The pump breaks down the fluffy shaving cream. I will use tins or a glass jar as of March 1st.**
Because of the natural nature of these products, use hot water (as hot as you can stand) to clean razor during shaving.
Shaving Cream comes in the following scents:
* Citrus Burst
* Lavender Love
* Tropical Dreams
**Recently, I was asked about using this set with an electric razor. I do not know about all types and brands of electric razors, but I have a small women’s electric razor and I do not use any product with it. I think most electric razors are dry razors. However, I use my electric razor to trim longer hair with and then use the shave set and a regular razor for a closer, smoother shave than my electric razor gives. I hope this helps!**
The Story of my Shave Set
I have always hated shaving my legs… not to mention my bikini line… because the irritation and red bumps made it so not worth it! I would wear long pants even in the summer and nylons with dresses to hide the ugly red rashes.
My legs were like Homer Simpson’s face. I could shave and then it was like I had a 5 O’clock shadow again right after. Ugh.
As I grew older, the issue got better, but it still wasn’t pleasant. I tried different razors, I bought expensive women’s shaving creams, I tried using conditioner… I tried every trick I heard about (the internet was not even a thing back then, lol.)
I noticed that men’s faces were pampered a lot more than my legs. So, I started looking at products they used and what they accomplished. I created my own versions and tried them out until I had great products that worked wonderfully together.
Yes, it takes some time to pamper your shaved areas, but it is so worth it! The oils and butters firm and soften skin and create more of a barrier between your skin and the razor so there is less irritation.
The first time I used the very best versions of my products, he couldn’t keep from touching my legs! That’s when I knew I had a winning combination!
Scent Descriptions
Citrus Burst:
The smell of citrus wakes you up, lifts your mood, and just smells happy. I use a combination of different citrus essential oils that smell mouth wateringly great! Because of the photosensitivity in some skin types, please use sunblock on skin or wait 12 hours before sun exposure to prevent burning. I have never had an issue and this is my personal go-to scent.
Lavender Love:
Lavender is a soother. Hot, irritated skin loves lavender. It also relaxes and calms the nervous system. Some really love lavender and some don’t, but this scent is luxurious!
Tropical Dreams:
When I visited the Caribbean, the flowers were so amazing! When I think back on those vacations, fruits and grasses and flowers all come to mind, aside from the fabulous beaches! I have blended florals with fruits that created a scent that makes me think of those happy tropical times. There is some citrus oils in this blend, so be aware of any skin sensitivity in the sunshine. Use sunblock as needed.
**Please note that I use essential oils as fragrance so my products are not overwhelmingly smelly. The scent is quite subtle. Even something natural like essential oils, used in excess, can cause reactions.**
I understand there are some of you who may prefer an unscented option, so I’m now offering that option on all of my body/skin care! Be sure to select it when adding to your cart!
I have had many messages asking for a coconut free soap option. After much research, I finally found an organic one based in olive oil. The cost is higher, but there is now an allergen free option!
