Description
Our Cleansing Body Wash is formulated to clean skin but replace some moisture that gets lost. Soap is meant to strip the skin of oils and dirt. So, soap is drying and dry skin is depleted of the elements needed to keep skin soft and youthful. Soaps are generally filled with toxins that disrupt bodily functions in the name of having a clean body.
Our formulation is 100% natural, without bubbling agents or toxic fragrances. This being said, your body will be clean with our body wash, but it will not froth and get overly foamy. Castile Soap can be drying to some skin types, so if you want baby soft skin, follow it up with our Shower Oil for skin that glows.
We use quality essential oils as our fragrance, so scents tend to be subtle and not overpowering.
A little of our body wash goes a long way and you can use it on a bath pouf for exfoliation as well.
Disclaimer: The picture shows body wash in a plastic, BPA free squeeze bottle. I rarely use plastics. So, I have also included a glass pump option as well.
The Story of my Body Wash
Over the last many 9+ years, I have studied a science called “Ayurveda”. It has a beautiful focus on using herbs and oils to pamper the skin, promote relaxation, and nourish the body.
It takes about 26 seconds for your skin to absorb anything you put on it, so why not put things on it that would benefit you on the inside?
My very first product was the Shower Oil. It uses the oil cleansing method along with Ayurveda’s daily self oil massage technique to clean skin, nourish the body, and move the lymphatics for better health and softer skin.
But, our world today has taught us that if it doesn’t have soap in it, you aren’t getting clean. Sadly, people turn to products filled with toxins to strip their skin, they don’t replace that moisture, and then wonder why they age quickly or have oily skin.
I had a customer tell me she uses body wash first and then the Shower Oil to moisturize. So, I decided to formulate my own body wash and provide an alternative to commercial washes. I use a natural soap in the Cleansing Body Wash, but it is still soap and may dry out skin. Soaps are made to strip it from all oil, including the much needed natural oil skin produces to protect and soften skin, keeping it supple and youthful.
Our body wash is concentrated! I do not add water, so you get a pure product that lasts. A small amount of soap goes a long way, especially on a shower pouf, which I try to send as a bonus if I’m able to get them.
I strongly recommend using my Shower Oil after the Cleansing Body Wash to help replace the moisture that is removed.
Scent Descriptions
Because men and women both love body washes, I have this available in both core scent collections.
Women:
Citrus Burst:
The smell of citrus wakes you up, lifts your mood, and just smells happy. I use a combination of different citrus essential oils that smell mouth wateringly great! Because of the photosensitivity in some skin types, please use sunblock on skin or wait 12 hours before sun exposure to prevent burning. I have never had an issue and this is my personal go-to scent.
Lavender Love:
Lavender is a soother. Hot, irritated skin loves lavender. It also relaxes and calms the nervous system. Some really love lavender and some don’t, but this scent is luxurious!
Tropical Dreams:
When I visited the Caribbean, the flowers were so amazing! When I think back on those vacations, fruits and grasses and flowers all come to mind, aside from the fabulous beaches! I have blended florals with fruits that created a scent that makes me think of those happy tropical times. There is some citrus oils in this blend, so be aware of any skin sensitivity in the sunshine. Use sunblock as needed.
Willow Creek Signature Scent:
I carefully chose specific elements that I love about this place I call Willow Creek and put them together in one blend. You’ll smell roses, pine, and earthy patchouli with a little splash of sweetness. I adore this blend! Now, it’s available for you to love as well!!
Men:
Tea Tree & Lemon:
Tea tree, also known as Melaleuca, is known for its cleansing properties. Lemon is a de-greaser and is used in a variety of household cleansers. This blend smells clean, like Irish Spring (no copyright infringement here), like clean air on a spring day. This is my best selling fragrance!
Rosemary & Cedar:
Rosemary has many amazing qualities, but most of all, it smells like the outdoors. It has a sort of minty smell mixed with leaves. Mmmmm. And cedarwood smells woodsy, like warm tree bark. This scent is very organic and outdoorsy.
Frosted Pine:
Look. I love pine. Almost as much as I like lemon! lol! So, I created a wintery blend that smells manly at the same time. Pine and peppermint come together as one invigorating, festive scent.
**Please note that I use essential oils as fragrance so my products are not overwhelmingly smelly. The scent is quite subtle. Even something natural like essential oils, used in excess, can cause reactions.**
I understand there are some of you who may prefer an unscented option, so I’m now offering that option on all of my body/skin care! Be sure to select it when adding to your cart!
I had many messages asking about coconut free options. At the time, I didn’t have one. But, I did some research and found a coconut free soap, still organic as always, based with olive oil instead. The price of the raw materials is much higher, but for those with allergies who can’t use common soaps because they all blend coconut oil in them, here’s your solution!!
